Description

Graduates of St. Louis BWorks' bike classes are invited to this free Mississippi River adventure in collaboration with Thrive Outside! OKTOFERBEST IN OVERLAND

Event Details

Earn-A-Bike and Learn-To-Ride alumni of all ages (parents/guardians welcome too!) are cordially invited to join BWorks volunteers and staff for this free Saturday adventure along the Mississippi River.

At 8 a.m. on October 15, registrants will meet with their bikes, helmets and individual water supply at the specified meeting point (the trail by the water, just east of the steps that lead up to the Gateway Arch). Participants should come prepared to promptly sign release forms upon arrival, and be ready to set off for a ride of between 10 and 14 miles along the Riverfront Trail (timing and overall energy of the group will dictate exact length as the ride progresses).

At 10 a.m., the children and adult helpers will park their bikes at the North Riverfront Park (BWorks staff will transport the bikes back to the Arch-adjacent starting point) and step into Big Muddy canoes for a river and picnic adventure made possible by Thrive Outside and River City Outdoors. The group will paddle downstream, back toward our initial stopping point, with a stop for lunch (provided) on an island in the river.

The event will end right around 2 p.m. back at the starting point by the Arch, where parents and guardians will collect bikes and participants and head home.

Be sure to register at this link in order to participate (we do have limited spots!), and stay tuned for more information in the days leading up to the event.
