Event Details

The Spring Institute is an opportunity to bring child serving agencies from across Franklin County together to train and meet one another.

You will have an opportunity to go to all three sessions.

Safe Zone (1hour and 55 minutes):
Safe Zone trainings are opportunities to learn about LGBTQ+ identities, gender, and sexuality, and examine prejudice, assumptions, and privilege.

The System vs. The Hard Cases (55 minutes):
We will discuss the roles, responsibilities, and limitations of child serving agencies and the policies and laws that govern them with real world examples of the hard cases.

The Mind Body Connection (55 minutes):
The intersection between Occupational Therapy and Children’s Mental Health. Practical tools and tricks that crossover to help youth learn practical coping mechanisms.

All participants will be assigned a group when you arrive.
We will be trying to mix folks up so that you meet workers from other agencies and districts.
