Description
Members of the society will guide visitors through the log house, barn and museum on Saturday, December 10th and Sunday, December 11th from 3-7pm.
Event Details
Log house visitors can enjoy antique dolls from the "Cathie Lee" Doll Hospital and Dolls, antique toys, and Linda Schuetz will be demonstrating quilt making. Dr. Denise Dietsch, DVM, will be displaying and discussing women's Victorian attire by showing ten of her two-foot high replicas of fashionableVictorian women's dress. Homemade Christmas cookies and hot mulled apple cider will be available in the log house's "keeping room". The barn houses antique tools and other artifacts from the 19th century.
The log house, barn, and museum will be decorated with live greenery and a live Christmas tree using vintage ornaments and other decorations that were popular long ago. The museum features an old-fashioned country store, historical photographs, and memoriabilia from Overland and the Ritenour School District. Gift items and apple butter will be for sale in the museum's gift shop.
Donation: $3 for adults, children under 16 years of age FREE
